Fine collection of colour lithograph plates reproducing a rich collection of gold, silver and jewelled religious artefacts in the collection of Ludwig II in Munich. The objects range from a Byzantine crucifix to chests, door handles, stained glass, and various reliquary altarpieces of the 15th and 16th centuries. The introductory text provides a list of goldsmiths active during the 16th and 17th centuries.
