In Germany, after the war, hordes of children roamed the streets, not knowing where their parents were. The Red Cross rounded them up and had posters made with their photographs, accompanied with the little information they had, to try to find their families. This book contains a text by Christian Boltanski and reproduces several such posters. [Bob Calle - Christian Boltanski Artist's Books 1969-2007, p.82-83].
