This multiple consists of the proof sheet of the cover of 'segno' no.37, May 1984.
Edition of 150 copies, signed and numbered by Beuys in red felt pen.
The action 7000 Eichen was Beuys' contribution to documenta 7. It foresaw the planting of 7000 young oaks in the downtown Kassel area, each tree accompmanied by a basalt column sunk into the earth. To carry out this gigantic project Beuys hoped for donations of 500 Marks per tree. The work was not completed until after Beuys' death, when the last tree was planted on the opening day of documenta 8, 1987.
