An oustanding set of Ackermann's publications, the Botfield set with his arms, in contemporary burgundy morocco.

The four works presented here demonstrate Ackermann's position as the finest exponent of aquatint illustration. The works depict London, Oxford and Cambridge in their best light and show the oldest and most important public schools: Winchester, Eton, Westminster, Charterhouse, St. Paul's, Merchant Taylors, Harrow, Rugby and Christ's Hospital.
