Edition of 60 numbered copies on papier d'Auvergne including ten hors commerce numbered in Roman numerals; copy numbered '5' on the justification and with a presentation in red crayon on the half-title: 'A Yves Breton / chez qui il sera bien / Francis Ponge'.

Also with a proof of plate 30 ('Le supplice du téléphone') on white proofing paper (not Auvergne)loosely inserted and inscribed 'épreuve d'essai'. [Webel 42].

Yves Breton was a prominent lawyer and bibliophile who knew Dubuffet, Ponge, PAB, Claire Goll et al. His library, including important Surrealist books, was sold in an anonymous sale in 1954.
