Holzpostkarte. (Wood Postcard)
Beuys, Joseph
Heidelberg. Edition Staeck. 1974
Sold
The majority of the wooden postcards remain unsigned and unnumbered. This copy however, is signed in pencil by Beuys on the verso of the block.
More interestingly this example has actually been used as a postcard - and been mailed and sent in the post (sent from a Klaus Gallen of Leverkusen to Herr C.Duc of Paris), complete with stamps and franking labels. The consignor has written his message in pencil along one edge of the postcard.
