Art D'aujourd'hui. Bloc, André (Ed.)
Boulougne-sur-Seine. Architecture d'Aujourd'hui. 1952
The 'Janvier 1952' issue of Art d'Aujourd'hui devoted to Abstract Art in Italy, with the hors texte plate by Alberto Magnelli.
The magazine was edited by sculptor and architect André Bloc with Edgar Pillet and Pierre Faucheux. Although it gave generous coverage to all aspects of contemporary art, its main concern was with European abstraction. Each issue carries reviews of the Paris exhibitions; several, usually double, issues are devoted to a single subject such as Cubism, Photography, Drawings of Children and Naive Artists or Painting in USA. Individual articles range from Tattooing & Poster art to Henry Moore and Julio Gonzalez. Art d'Aujourd'hui is also a particularly useful source of information on the minor artists of the period.
