From the edition limited to 75 copies on handmade paper, each signed and numbered by Bourgeois in pencil, with this one of 70 copies bound by Kim O'Donnell.
Bourgeois composed the text in 1947 but it was never published. She revisited the 1947 text in the late 1980s, producing drawings based upon it which were the foundations for these etchings. The book was produced in collaboration with, and was designed by, Benjamin Schiff.
