The collaboration between Richard Hamilton and Dieter Roth with an original portrait of Roth by Hamilton with additional collage by Roth and signed by both artists: a collaborative drawing with collage to celebrate a book of collaborations.

The 'Collaborations' presents the work produced in collaboration by Roth and Hamilton including graphic work, sculpture, relief, text-based and even musical work. Among the paintings produced were those for an exhibition for dogs (developed also in collaboration with teh recently deceased Marcel Broodthaers) which also produced a canine fairy tale. An album was also produced, again in collaboration, that also featured a Cadaques dog noted for its bark.

'On July the 24th, 1976, an exhibition of work by Richard Hamilton and Dieter Roth opened in the 'galeria cadaqués' entitled 'Collaborations'. It consisted of 74 paintings and drawings made jointly by the artists in Cadaques during the immediately preceding three weeks.' (From 'About 'Collaborations'' in the present book).

Half-title with drawing by Richard Hamilton with additional detail and collage by Dieter Roth, frontispiece photograph of the pair verso, title with copyright and justification verso, contents, explanatory texts, dedication 'in loving memory of Marcel Broodthaers' and 76 plates in colour & monochrome in the sections ''Pictures for Dogs' and 'Pictures for Bipeds', essays by Roth, Hamilton and Roth and Hamilton, catalogue, autobiographies with monochrome photographs of Roth & Hamilton and advertisements. Page 55/56 lacking. Original publisher's printed wrappers in yellow and red with titles to front cover and spine in black, small vignette of 'The Rotham Arms' to front cover and vignettes to rear; cover with wear to edges and small area of abrasion to foot of rear wrapper, some leaves with damp-stains and cockling to pages.
