het water 1
Frontzek, Anett
Kassel. (Self-published). 2000
An innovative cartographic artist book by Anett Frontzek.
Signed and dated by the artist in pencil to the final leaf.
Anett Frontzek (born in Uelzen in 1965) is a conceptual artist with a background in sculpture. Her work draws on urban, architectural, geological and sociological structures. The present artist book relates to a body of work titled 'Amsterdam Cycle' comprising drawings and artist books which investigate the city structure of Amsterdam. Frontzek made two further artist books as part of this series, 'het water 2' and 'het water 3', each with seemingly non-representational designs which are selected from the city's cartography, such as the relationship between its public and private water areas or green spaces.
From an unknown but likely very small edition size: 'het water 2' and 'het water 3' are both from an edition of 3 copies.
We can locate no other copies of this book in institutions or at auction.
